Live Performances

MISTER G offers three different touring configurations, from intimate solo/duo performances to multi-sensory, immersive shows with a roster of international collaborators. Each modality can be tailored to suit specific age groups or broadened to entertain intergenerational audiences.

The impact of MISTER G performances can be expanded through classroom activities, songwriting and music production workshops, and initiatives that engage children and families in creative exchanges with other communities around the world.

Solo/Duo Performances

Ben tours widely in a solo or duo format, often accompanied by MISSUS G. These lively, bilingual performances incorporate musical styles from around the globe and engage audiences through movement and call-and-response to introduce new rhythms, cultures, and vocabulary.
“Skillfully and tunefully wraps entertaining and educational lyrics in a variety of Latin rhythms that offer listeners a welcome invitation to sing along, jump to their feet and move to the beat.”

Immersive Multi-Media

For theaters, festivals, and performing arts centers, Ben has built an immersive, multi-media show that interweaves recorded audio and projection with his songbook of international musical styles. Video and still images accompany lyrics, reinforcing Spanish language vocabulary and underscoring the beauty of the natural world.
This format is particularly well suited for IMAX theaters, planetariums, and venues with large-scale projection capabilities

The Global Citizen Ensemble

The Global Citizen Ensemble brings the audience on a guided expedition around the world to discover the origins and connections between different musical styles. Participants learn how rhythms migrated across continents and evolved as they took root in different cultures.
This theatrical production uses video projection to immerse the audience in the landscape and people of each region. Narrated by Ben, the journey unfolds as a series of guest artists introduce culturally specific instruments, sounds, and gestures corresponding with music from Africa, Central & South America, and the Caribbean.
