Richard Owens (trombone) is a gifted brass player who has performed nationally and internationally with blues, jazz, salsa, symphony orchestras. and reggae bands. He’s shared the stage with such jazz legends as Joe Sample, Kurt Elling, Bill Waltrous, Sean Jones, Fema Kuti, Jon Faddis, Buddy Guy, Von Freeman, and more. He holds a BS in music performance and a MA in composition/ethnomusicology.
